Since 18th centuries, Cava d’Ispica attracts european travellers searching for “prehistoric sites and ancient ruins in the midst of still unspoilt landscape[1]”.

Cava d’Ispica is a 13 km-long gorge stretching between Modica and Ispica. Thick mediterranean macchia and carob, olive and walnut trees cover high cliffs tumbling down the sides to the valley bottom.

Along all the gorge you could identify and visit thousands of cave-tombs and cave-homes nel corso dei secoli dall’età del bronzo fino agli anni ’60 del secolo scorso.
