Val di Noto Eloro DOC wine route is situated in the south east of Sicily, around NOTO, wonderful and fascinaring Baroque town.-Ride Noto’s Wine Bike Routes ‐a spectacular path meandering through vineyards, lush lemon & almond orchards, take us toward the Pachino area ‐ which derived from ancient Greek means “plenty of wine”. In this wine-producing area surrounded by sea and opened to African winds ,Sicilians have been cultivating grapes for centuries, since when ancient Romans and Greeks built towns and aristocratic“villas”adorned with spectacular mosaics . This wine route is the reign of the most famous Sicilian grape in the world, the “Nero d’Avola”; but other typical and certificated food is produced too. Such as the protagonist of the Sicilia pastry, the almond produced around Avola and Noto and an unique and delicious kind of tomato, “pomodorino I.G.P. from Pachino.
