Light, typical stone walls and a sea of carob trees are the main elements of Le Chiuse di Guadagna, a place to learn and appreciate the narrative and knowledge of southeastern Sicily.

“Le Chiuse” are the main feature of the area, resulting from the farming tradition of delimiting land through the use of drywalls, in order to differentiate land usage and crops.

THE RESTORATION PROJECT. Le Chiuse di Guadagna was a farm of modest size, used for the cultivation of fields and the storage of products. The rooms of the farm were the centers where agricultural products were processed. Part of the building was used as a residence for employees and as an occasional residence for the owners; this was typical of the farms in the province of Ragusa.
